Brief itinerary

The big 5 and fantastic scenery in a short but sweet package. Discover the lovely Jakaranda city and explore it’s fascinating history in a free day tour. Then travel to the Sefapane Lodge and enjoy the wildlife whilst on safari in the Kruger National Park. En route to the Golden Gate National Park you will travel through and discover some of South Africa’s most beautiful landscapes in the Panorama area (God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon etc). End your short trip with a stay over in the park (Golden Gate) with breathtaking landscapes. Should you have more time available we suggest you also consider visiting any of the following – Tzaneen or Magoebaskloof or extend the route to the coast towards St Lucia and Hluhluwe/Imfolozie park famous for it’s White Rhino’s or contact us for assistance in making a unique route to suite your requirements.

Recommended duration: These trips are offered at a minimum amount of travel days suitable for the route and may be extended and are often possible to do in reverse. When requesting a price indication or quote we need to know the port, date and time of arrival and departure. If your flights are not booked yet we require the expected arrival and departure details of when you wish to travel. Should you have more time available we suggest you contact us for assistance in making a unique route to suite your requirements.

All cost estimates or price indications are on average accurate to +/- 1,5% of actual price, and are based on prices for services required in the period you wish to travel. Included in our price indication you also get an overview of extra-expected costs you will encounter whilst travelling like entrance fees, fuel, eating out etc. Prices for quotes are always based on provisionally made bookings and are therefore valid for a limited time only. What is icluded in our price and what may you expect for your money?

Accommodation: we generally use the small scale more personally run establishments like bed & breakfasts, guesthouses, small lodges, guest farms and some boutique hotels. We also have a limited selection of the smaller and better 5 star establishments but generally work with 3 to 4 star accommodations. Due to the low population, density and relative large size good accommodation in Namibia is limited. Except for the smaller more personally run establishments we also offer a number of larger accommodations. A rustic and tranquil setting or charming country style building with lots of character and welcoming staff enjoys our preference above large organisations. In any cost estimate or price indication, we will give you an itinerary based on place name or national park visited. This is because we are mostly working with small-scale accommodations and can only offer specific accommodations once we have finalised your itinerary and you are satisfied with our price indication. Once this is, done we will provisionally book all accommodations (and other services) then offer you a quote that will be valid for a limited time only. Any price estimate/price indication or quote is for free and without any obligation whatsoever. Finally yet importantly good value for your money is important.

Our prices are as fully comprehensive as is possible checked regularly on exchange rate variations. Except for the accommodation and vehicle rental or transport including driver guide we include wherever possible and/or applicable local taxes, airport shuttles etc. See below for more information on what is included.

FREE DAY TOUR

All self-drive and individually guided tours to South Africa and Namibia for more than 2 persons that are longer than 12 days automatically include a free day tour on the first day of your holiday. When you start in following area’s or city’s - Cape Town, Johannesburg or Pretoria and Windhoek - we offer you a choice of several interesting day tours. This way when you arrive you do not have to start driving immediately, but enjoy at a relaxing pace of your holiday destination. Click here for more information

CAR RENTAL
Usually included in our car rental are the following
• Unlimited kilometers.
• Airport collection costs.
• Local taxes.
• WA/BA-Insurance.
• CDW-Insurance(damage to rental vehicle)
• Extra Maximum No Risk insurance
• TP-Insurance(theft of vehicle).
• Extra cover glass, tyres and undercarriage: included
• PAI- insurance (personal accident insurance).
• Extra driver: 1 extra driver included thereafter +/- € 15 administration fee per extra driver
• Contract fee: included only in South Africa.

Should you be picked up by our shuttle we will arrange for your rental vehicle/s to be delivered to your accommodation at a pre determined time. Cost for this service are payable locally only and vary (average at € 20,- per vehicle). For border crossing travel you will require extra documentation from the rental company. We will arrange for these documents to be ready at the collection or drop off point but the costs for these services can only be paid locally by credit card. These costs vary greatly so please do not hesitate to ask for the specific information regarding these costs. NB: You will require a valid credit card to be able to rent any vehicle.
