Somewhere
between Paarl and Wellington, nestled on the slopes of the
Du Toit Kloof Mountains, you'll find the beautiful wine estate
Mooi Bly. Mooi Bly is an Afrikaans word you say when you greet
somebody goodbye and means "Keep well"! Originally
from Antwerp, Belgium, the family Wouters-Schouteden found
a new challenge at the Mooi Bly wine estate. Luc and Anne-Marie,
together with daughter Liesbeth and son-in-law Erik welcome
you.
Mooi
Bly estate has 5 unique thatched cottages . Each cottage has
a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining room, patio and braai
(BBQ) facilities. All guests can enjoy the little 'Jacuzzi
splash pool' and swimming pool, both filled with fresh mountain
water!

Although
Paarl is fairly important to the economy of the Western Cape,
it didn't loose much of its beauty. The streets that are lined
with trees and the elegant facades give Paarl its rustic charm.
The 11km long Main Street (only 10 minutes from our Estate),
at the foot of Paarl mountain, is a good starting point for
those who want to explore this region. At both sides of the
street you will find beautiful 18th and 19th century Cape
Dutch and Victorian houses.
We are proud to be able to say that the Paarl wine route is
the second oldest of South-Africa. It has got a diversity
of cellars, of which most are open to the public. But there
is more than just Paarl. From our estate you can easily do
daytrips to Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town, Table Mountain,
Robben Island, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Wellington, Hermanus
and much more idyllic places, so the ideal base for those
who want to scout the region.
We also organise a "vine to wine tour" on
the estate.
Erik, our wine maker, will tell you everything you want to
know about the production of the wines. You start with a tour
trough the vineyard and you will end in our cellar where you
finish with a tasting.
This tour takes more or less 2 hours and is R50 per person.
Everyone is welcome! Please contact us for more info
